| Comments: | Hi, I am from the 2nd biggest City of Hungary, from Debrecen. I was in Cuba in November 2007. Cuba is a poor but really wonderful country full of very nice people. I was the guest of the Santa Clara University in the County of Villa Clara. The cuban scientists are really clever people, with a lot of talents to solve the problems caused by the low budget. Despite of I was really often on the roads and had the good possibility to visit a lot of places in Cuba, for example Sancti Spiritus, Iznaga, Trinidad and the Beach Ancon, Cienfuegos (not only the city but the Botanical Garden too), Manicaragua, Sagua la Grande, the beaches on the Peninsula Varadero of course, Remedios and Caibarienne, I was not on the south eastern corner of the island - perhaps next time! Sorry, I did not meet any other Hungarian people there - but it is a corner of our Earth, what is worth to wisit! I will return to Cuba for sure! Imre from Debrecen, Hungary |

Nevertheless, I think it is important to also include dates, such as birth and death dates of all the descendents and poets, politicians, etc. Also, I think, the order of the presentation of all the children and grandchildren could be more close to history if it is presented in a chronological order. My family knows a lot of pieces of "petite Histoire" of how the children of Perucho left Cuba, how they survive being persecuted by the Spaniard authorities and how some of them arrive to Colombia. |

My great grand father, Carlos Marin Palomino had tobacco factories in Tampa, and was a Coronel of the Cuban army, I had some letter about building nitroglycerine rockett in one of his factories in 1996 to 1998. I have pictures of Jose Marti with my grand mother, age 18 months, on his arms. Bring tears to my eyes every time I see the picture, was taking in Tampa before Marti came to Cuba to die in Dos Rios. I see that your page has info only on Perucho going up the ancestry and down the descendance, but there is no info on his brothers and sister. Do you know where I could find more info? | Comments: | Mi apellido López-Figueredo lo hizo compuesto mi abuelo paterno llamado Rodolfo López Figueredo con el fin de no perder el apellido Figueredo en la línea sucesoria de apellidos en lo que respecta a su rama. Mi padre también llamado Rodolfo López-Figueredo nació en 1.892, 22 años después de la muerte de Perucho Figueredo (ejecutado por las tropas españolas en la guerra de los diez años en que Cuba obtuvo su independencia), mi padre se casó muy mayor a los 55 años con quien es mi madre Leonor Lechor, mi padre murió en 1.963 cuando yo tenía 13 años, actualmente tengo 52 años (nací el 31 de diciembre de 1.949), mi madre aún vive y tiene 85 años (era mucho más joven que mi padre), el testimonio que tengo es muy confuso pues casi todos mis ascendientes por la rama Figueredo han muerto y no tengo apenas donde recurrir.
